The description on the UKMemorial Website describes it "ORNATE STONE CROSS WITH FLORIATED ENDS TO THE HEAD. CROSS SURMOUNTS SIX-SIDED PLINTH. PLINTH STANDS ATOP FOUR-STEPPED BASE. THREE-SIDED WALL SURROUNDED BACK OF CROSS AND BEARS NAMES OF FALLEN."
War Memorials and Memorials are a rich source of information for the family historian. They are also a focal point for a community and now almost 100 years and possibly 60 years later they are still revered by families and relatives. Although this blog is meant to be primarily a source of information, let us not forget those brave people who put their lives on the line and stood and were counted - if only by chance at times. We salute you!
